Last 22nd and 23rd November we had the pleasure of attending once again the Guía Peñín Fair held in Madrid.
On this occasion, the fair broke its record in terms of participation, with more than 350 wineries and more than 2,000 wines selected. The wine sector has met again in this great event where emotions, local products and wine have been the protagonists of these days.
At Can Vidalet we brought a wide range of our wines, which were awarded more than 90 points by the different experts of the Peñín Guide. The award-winning wines were our fortified wines, both sweet and dry, our ancestral sparkling wines, our white crianza Ses Pedres, and finally both the terroir and submarine versions of our Barros de Cecili 2019. The latter aroused a lot of expectation and curiosity on the part of the attendees and the press.
We would like to make a special mention to the local press, specifically to Última Hora Mallorca and Baleras va de vi who were present at the event and who have included us in their news section.

Among all the visitors we had the pleasure of having during the event, we would like to highlight Tim Atkin, British guru and reference figure in the world of wine. Tim came to taste our wines, of which Barros de Cecili 2019 and Barros de Cecili Submarino 2019 stood out for him. It was a pleasure for us to meet him in person and to receive his words towards our local product.
Another highlight was the visit of Sarah Jane Evans, multi-award winning wine writer and journalist. Sarah considered our Barros de Cecili Submarino 2019 as the most outstanding wine of the day, and promised us a visit to the winery very soon.
Besides them, it has been very exciting to be able to meet again with our colleagues in the sector, sharing together our passion and work: the good work, and above all a good glass of wine.
We hope to be able to participate in future editions of this important national event.
